An unexpected happening journey!

So monsoon season is at its end now. (Hopefully! We never know about these stupid rains!)

Since we were having little bit of clear skies, the stargazing bug inside us started haunting and we left for our regular stargazing place, Naneghat!

Didn’t know that the whole trip would be this happening!

We started cursing our luck as we got close to Malshej Ghat, as clouds and rains came to haunt our telescope! Hoping that conditions will be different at Naneghat, we continued our car ride.

When we were near our destination, darkness and heavy rains welcomed us and the moment we reached Naneghat, heavy fog reduced the visibility down to 0. (Literally!) Took the wrong turn, got our cars stuck in mud and stones, pushed the car out of the mud, walked in fog at nightfall using only cellphone torch and (FINALLY!) Reached our stargazing spot at Naneghat…only to realize that a leopard was seen at the place where our cars got stuck, only a day before! The paranoia got one of us confused and later that night, after seeing green eyes and movements in the dark, we had a little “Holy Shit! Run!” Moment…(It turned out to be a rabbit!)

After all of this mess, luckily we had clear skies after midnight! Taking out the telescope was worth!

The halt at Malshej Ghat while coming back was inevitable!!!
